    • To develop, validate and spread best practices on NextGen eContent to relevant stakeholders
    • To accelerate adoption of NextGen eContent

    The Group

    The Communities of Pratice stakeholders have been divided into four groups in two categories as the follows:

    Demand

    • CoP - Users Group


    Supply

    • CoP - Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Group
    • CoP – Instructional Designers (IDs) Group
    • CoP – Creative Directors (CDs) Group
    The qualification criterias of Groups

    1. CoP – Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Group

    • At least 4 years experience in teaching respective subject OR
    • Teaching respective subject and attended courses organized by Ministy of Education (MoE) Malaysia or State Education Department (JPN) for the respective subject OR
    • Teaching respective subject and received certification for the respective subject OR
    • Individual with acknowledged expertise in the respective subject

    2. CoP – Instructional Designers (IDs) Group

    • Professional qualification related to pedagogy and experience in Instructional Design

    3. CoP – Creative Directors (CDs) Group
    Professional qualification related to multimedia and industrial experience in Web 2.0 solutions, campaigns, advertising and branding development projects.

    The Roles
    Roles in NextGen eContent development:

    1. CoP – Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) Group

    • Advise on matters pertaining to curriculum and content
    • Ensure that the concept and content is correct and at the appropriate level
    • Suggest appropriate activities to deliver the content and the tools for measuring or accessing the learning outcomes
    • Conduct research for continuous improvement


    2. CoP – Instructional Designers (IDs) Group

    • Train and share specialized set of knowledge and skills:
      • Needs analysis, learner analysis, context analysis, technology analysis and task analysis for the development of NextGen eContent
      • Apply the right instructional design principles as well as in understanding the constraints and limitation at the delivery stage - Advise on matters pertaining to learning design, development andevaluation, technology utilization, content and assessment
      • Comply with Process Standards


    3. CoP – Creative Directors (CDs) Group

    • Oversees all aspects of the arts and creativity development of the project
    • Conceptualize ideas for each content by using his/her industrial knowledge in graphic design, advertising, web solutions and entertainment
    • Comply with Process Standards

     

    General Roles of CoP Members
    • Explain their work    
    • Discuss their needs, aspirations, expectation and approaches
    • Explore common issues
    • Solve problems        
    • Share information, hints & tips, advice and insights    
    • Help and consult each other    
    • Create and document best practices
    • Maintain the communication tools and social network platform
      •     develop trust, understanding
      •     negotiate common perspectives, approaches, practices
